Miguel Esteban

Chief Operating Officer

Miguel Esteban has diverse and international experience in the production and promotion of live events across various genres. Alongside his position as Chief Operating Officer of Idili Live and Temple Live Entertainment, he is also the general manager of soprano Anna Netrebko. Born in Los Angeles of Cuban heritage, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree of Music (Vocal Arts) from the University of Southern California and his Teaching Diploma in Voice from the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. Alongside Martin T:son Engstroem, he co-founded the Verbier Festival, with which he was associated from 1992 to 2005, as well as the Verbier Festival Orchestra. From 2001 to 2011, he was a Director for UBS Wealth Management in Switzerland, initially recruited to launch the bank’s Sports and Entertainment Group as a Senior Client Advisor. At the invitation of Ingrid Sutej, he moved to London to become Vice-President for Artists and Events at Universal Music’s live event subsidiary, U-Live, from 2012 to 2016. During that time, Miguel collaborated on seasonal productions of the musicals White Christmas (2015) and Elf (2015) at the Dominion Theatre in London. In 2016, he and Ingrid left U-Live to form Idili Live, a global producer and promoter of all forms of live events of which Miguel is the Chief Operating Officer. On behalf of Idili, Miguel helped coproduce the UK tour of Rent the Musical from 2016 to 2017. From 2016 to 2020, he was Associate Producer of the London and international productions of Mamma Mia! The Party, an immersive theatrical and dining experience launched by ABBA, as well as of ABBA: Super Troupers, the official international ABBA exhibition. In collaboration with Martin T:son Engstroem, he was Associate Artistic Director of the Riga Jurmala Music Festival from 2019 to 2022.
